She lies alone in the dark, wrapped, shroud-like, in silken sheets,
Poems dripping from her fingers like the nectar of stolen honey.
She delicately licks the liquid adjectives from her fingertips,
Closes her eyes in contemplation, then dips her delicate hands once more
Into her pool of inspiration.
