It is interesting to me. Despite the (presumably) more controversial posts I have made in support of Israel during this, the latest war between us and the Palestinians, I am getting far more comments to my post about my late uncle.
I suppose I can understand this; if I thought that my uncle were guilty of such horrific crimes, I would also wish ill upon him (assuming I believed in an afterlife, souls, or spirits). And I wonder how many commenters who have cursed me for my relationship to my uncle, or my love for him- as well as cursing his name- know anything about the court case. How many have followed the case, or knew the family in question, or the actions of the lawyers, or the type of plea actually entered.
Again, if I thought for a moment that the charges were true, I would not have supported my uncle. I have allowed all comments thus far because I do not like the idea of censorship, and I always reserve to myself the possibility of being wrong.
But henceforward, I will be accepting no more comments about my post regarding Cantor Howard Nevison.
Your feelings toward him- and myself- have been made clear enough.
