So, in a previous post, I noted that there were fifteen errors/changes that were found by a friend reading the Kindle edition of Medousa. It is frightfully annoying, and I would like to correct them. However, when I reached out to CreateSpace, through whom I published my book, they told me that they no longer offer that service. That is, the service wherein I could either fill out a PDF form explaining the errors and locating them in the text, or upload a whole new manuscript.
Now, though, they no longer correct and format; they will only accept a fully corrected and formatted PDF file. This sorely vexes me, given the trouble I’ve been having– first trying to correct on my own, without ruining the beautiful formatting job already done by CreateSpace originally, and then trying to engage someone online through a service suggested by one of CreateSpace’s customer service agents. Neither option has been successful at the time of this writing.
I have a PDF copy of the proof of my book. I need to have it edited so that the corrections are made properly. But, it has to be done without changing or disturbing the format, or the fonts used. I am unable to do this, because I do not have the same fonts the publisher used. Also, I do not know how to make the changes without disturbing the layout. Do any of my readers know anyone who could take such a job? I would be willing to pay. As noted above, I recently engaged a person online to do these corrections, but she is incompetent. It looks as though English is not her first language. She would make only a few corrections at a time, then tell me it was finished. And I contracted to pay her US$80. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed. Do any of you guys know anyone with a professional PDF editing kit that could help me? There are fifteen corrections to make overall, as I noted, one of which might require repositioning the “format boxes” of one page.
Please help!
I know nothing about this yet … but I searched and found this guy https://www.upwork.com/fl/chrism121
You may try at least reaching out to him and seeing if it’s something he is able to do. It is possible you may have to pay more than $80, but he seems pretty competent based off of his experience/amount earned/jobs taken. If he’s not able to, I’m sure he could recommend someone. Hope this helps.

Thank you; I’ve just posted, requesting his time. I’ll let everyone know how this works out! Also– this place looks far more reputable than Fiverr. I should have asked here first!

Hmm I have to be honest and say I probably can’t help you with this since I don’t normally work with PDFs directly, but I *do* have InDesign, which is what I used to format my own books, and it is quite easy once you learn a few basics. You should be able to subscribe to it for a month, I think, and it might be cheaper than paying someone else.
